I told you all I wanted to start doing some fashion posts every now and then…so here’s my first official one :]
As a career woman with a fuller figure, it’s important to me to look stylish without sacrificing fit, while still putting my best foot forward.
So let’s take a look at work appropriate pieces I’m loving for Fall:
eShakti Linear Equation Skirt
Pencil skirts should be a staple for any woman in my opinion. The thing I really like about this skirt is black panels on the side help create an illusion that will really slim the lower half.
Asos Curve EXCLUSIVE Blouse with Pussybow
I love this top. First, it’s mulberry, which is really in this Fall. I think this color looks great on so many different skin tones. Second, it’s a v-neck, and if you’re like me and you’re pretty busty, v-necks are your best friend because they help to elongate your neck making you looks leaner. Finally, it’s got the pussybow, that just says “sexy secretary” to me…and who doesn’t love that? :]
Payless Lambert Loafer Pump
I never want to have a heel that’s too high for work, and this heel is straddling that line, but I think the fact that it has a loafer look makes it work appropriate. I love the tassels and peep toe. It’s made of a tweed which I think is great for Fall.
H&M+ Blazer
If you have a fuller figure, jackets are great. They help give to give bodies better shapes because of their built in structure. So even if you don’t have an hourglass figure, since most blazers narrow in at the waist, it’s going to help hold everything in and give you the shape that you want.
I really liked this blazer, to me it could be dressed up or down. So I could wear it to work with a nice blouse or throw it over a t-shirt and pair it with a scarf and jeans for a fun weekend look.
Forever21 Threaded Bangle Set
Teal is another big color for the fall and I thought this bangle set would be a nice pop of color to add to a more subdued outfit. Plus, you can’t beat that price!
SimplyBe Structured Bag
I thought this bag would be a nice classic piece that could get you through the Fall. It’s a nice neutral color, so you can pair it with any outfit.
H&M+ Tights
I love, love, love tights. You can throw them on under a skirt or dress that you might have worn in the summer and pair it with some boots and you’ve got a cute fall look.
I like tights for the work place because they don’t scream old lady to me like pantyhose do and you can add in your own personality and style by playing around with colors and patterns.
