bronzers for browner skinned ladies or gents?
I’m not sure if you’re wondering if you can wear bronzer if you have darker skin or asking for different bronzers that will work for a darker skin tone…
So I’ll answer both, haha.
1. You can definitely wear bronzer if you have darker skin tone, you’ll just need to make sure that the bronzer is a shade or two darker than your skin tone. If you get one that is too light, you risk it looking “ashy”. If you get one that’s too dark, your face will start to look a bit muddy. I tend to use bronzer for more of an all over color to the face, so if it’s too dark, you can imagine how your face will start to get a bit muddy.
2. What bronzers will work for you, is going to depend on what your skin tone is. So like I mentioned above, just make sure that it’s a shade or two darker than your skin tone. It’s also really going to depend on what you’re really wanting to use the bronzer for. Are you wanting to use it for more of an all over color, or are you wanting something that you can contour with?
If you’re wanting to use bronzer to contour…make sure that it is a matte bronzer. What I mean by that, is that is should have no shimmer/sparkle to it. The reason I say that is because when you contour, you’re wanting to create shadows to certain parts of your face, sparkle/shimmer is going to reflect light…not what you want. Here’s a post I did on contouring/highlighting that will discuss all of that in much more detail.
I hope this helps!
